Description
Thick Camphor Round Wood Slab
This one-of-a-kind round wood slab is made from camphor wood
(camphor laurel), recognized for its rich natural tones, flowing grain
structure, and subtle natural aroma. Compared with heavier hardwoods, camphor
offers a balanced density, making it easier to handle while still maintaining
the durability required for furniture applications.
The cross-cut surface displays visible growth rings, radial cracks, and
natural voids that enhance the slab’s organic appearance. These natural
features may be preserved in their raw state or incorporated into a custom epoxy
design. Each slab has its own grain, shape, and internal structure and cannot be
exactly replicated.
Measuring 43 × 32 inches, this slab provides a well-balanced
surface for a coffee table, accent table, or custom furniture project.
Its 2.5-inch thickness adds substantial visual mass and a premium,
solid appearance while keeping the overall weight manageable.
The surface is pre-sanded and ready for further finishing.
Additional preparation may include final flattening, epoxy filling, sanding,
and application of a protective coating.
