This round wood slab is made from camphor wood (camphor laurel), recognized for its rich natural tones, flowing grain structure, and subtle natural aroma. Compared to heavier hardwoods, camphor offers a balanced density, making it easier to handle while still maintaining durability for furniture use.
The slab features visible growth rings, radial cracks, and natural voids that enhance its organic appearance. These characteristics make it suitable for epoxy work or for preserving in its raw natural state. Each slab is unique and cannot be replicated.
With dimensions of 43 × 32 inches and increased thickness of 2.5 inches, this piece provides a more substantial and premium feel, making it well-suited for a coffee table or accent table. The added thickness increases visual mass while maintaining manageable overall weight.
The surface is pre-sanded and ready for further finishing, including flattening, epoxy filling, and protective coatings upon request.
