We provide professional wood slab restoration for round slabs, coffee tables, live edge slabs, and custom wood surfaces. Restoration may include crack repair, epoxy filling, sanding, refinishing, and surface renewal depending on the condition of the piece.
Solid wood is a natural material. Over time, slabs may develop movement, checks, cracks, surface wear, and finish damage. In many cases, a properly restored piece can look fresh, clean, and ready for years of continued use.
For slabs, tabletops, and round wood pieces purchased from us, we offer a one-time complimentary crack repair within 60 days of purchase if a natural crack develops.
This applies only to a natural wood crack wider than 2 mm. Hairline checks and surface cracks under 2 mm are not included.
Customer must bring the item back to us. Repair may include crack filling, local refinishing, or full surface refinishing depending on the condition of the piece and the location of the crack.
We also restore wood slabs and tables not originally purchased from us. Each restoration project is different and may involve one or more of the following services:
Our goal is to restore the wood’s natural appearance and make the piece look clean, refreshed, and ready for continued use.
We do not re-pour full epoxy river surfaces. If a slab or tabletop is heavily covered in epoxy, we may offer removal of the old epoxy layer, flattening, sanding, crack repair, and refinishing with a natural finish such as oil, hardwax oil, or polyurethane.
Some restoration projects may require flattening before repair. If epoxy removal, major resurfacing, or structural correction is needed, the project is quoted individually.
Every restoration project is priced individually based on slab size, damage level, finish type, and repair complexity. The ranges below are general starting points only.
Up to 2 ft diameter — from $200
2 to 3 ft diameter — from $300–$400
3 to 4 ft diameter — from $400–$500
Up to 2 ft × 4 ft — from $200
Up to 2 ft × 8 ft — up to $400
Up to 3 ft × 4 ft — quoted individually
Up to 3 ft × 8 ft — quoted individually
Final cost depends on the number and depth of cracks, amount of fill required, type of finish, surface condition, old coating removal, epoxy content, and whether flattening is needed before restoration.
Not every slab or table can be restored to the same level. In some cases, heavy damage, major structural movement, excessive epoxy, deep separation, or poor prior repairs may limit what is possible. We will review photos and discuss the best realistic outcome before starting the work.
In many cases, a worn or cracked slab can be renewed for far less than the cost of building a new custom piece. Restoration is a practical option for customers who want to refresh a table, preserve a meaningful item, prepare a piece for resale, or improve the appearance of an existing slab without replacing it.
Round slabs: up to 4 ft diameter
Live edge slabs: up to 8 ft long × 3 ft wide
Send clear photos, dimensions, thickness, and a short description of the issue. We will review the condition of the slab and provide guidance on the best restoration option.
