This one-of-a-kind round wood slab is believed to be hickory, based on
its high density, pronounced growth-ring contrast, and characteristic radial cracking.
Hickory is one of the hardest domestic hardwoods in the United States and is valued for
its strength, durability, and resistance to everyday wear.

Measuring 42 × 37 inches, this substantial cross-cut wood slab provides
a balanced natural surface suitable for a coffee table, accent table, or statement
furniture piece. Concentric growth rings, natural stress lines, and an organic edge
create a bold visual pattern that cannot be duplicated.

At 2.5 inches thick, the slab has a solid, premium presence. Its natural
texture and expressive grain make it especially suitable for modern organic, industrial,
rustic, and high-end natural interiors.

Finish & Natural Character

Natural cracks and surface variations are authentic characteristics of solid wood.
Cracks may be preserved as part of the slab’s organic appearance or stabilized with
epoxy when appropriate. Oil, hardwax oil, or polyurethane can enhance the depth,
contrast, and natural color of the grain.

Solid wood is a natural material and may develop movement or cracks due to changes
in humidity and climate. This is normal and part of its character.

If a natural crack wider than 2 mm appears within 60 days of purchase, we offer
one complimentary repair.
