Description
Round Sycamore Wood Slab
This one-of-a-kind round wood slab is believed to be sycamore, based on
its lighter coloration, softer contrast between the growth rings, and characteristic
diffuse grain pattern. Sycamore is a domestic hardwood commonly used for furniture
and offers a clean, natural appearance suitable for modern and organic interiors.
Measuring 38.5 × 33 inches, this compact and versatile cross-cut slab
is suitable for a coffee table, side table, accent table, or custom furniture project.
Its organic shape, visible growth rings, and natural color variations make it a unique
focal point without overwhelming the surrounding space.
The 2-inch thickness provides a balanced profile that is substantial
enough for everyday furniture use while remaining easier to handle and install than
heavier slabs. Sanding and finishing with oil, hardwax oil, or polyurethane can enhance
the wood’s warmer tones and subtle natural figure.
