Description
Thick Camphor Round Wood Slab
This one-of-a-kind round wood slab is identified as camphor wood
(camphor laurel), recognized for its warm golden-brown tones,
flowing organic grain, and natural aromatic properties. Compared with denser
hardwoods, camphor features softer color transitions and more fluid grain
movement, giving every slab a distinctive natural appearance.
Measuring 40.5 × 34.5 inches, this medium-to-large cross-cut
slab is well suited for a coffee table, accent table, or custom furniture
project. Its rounded organic shape and dynamic grain flow create a
balanced yet visually rich centerpiece that complements both modern and rustic
interiors.
The 3-inch thickness provides substantial visual mass and a
premium appearance while maintaining a more manageable weight than many heavier
hardwood species. Camphor offers good stability and workability, making it an
excellent choice for custom furniture.
Natural cracks, grain variation, and organic imperfections are authentic
characteristics of this individual slab. These features may be preserved as
part of the natural design or stabilized with epoxy. Finishing with oil or
hardwax oil enhances the depth of color and highlights the flowing grain
structure.
