Description
Water Oak Coffee Table Slabs
Thick round and irregular water oak cross-cut slabs with natural edges,
visible growth rings, dark flame-treated surfaces, and distinctive
natural openings in some pieces.
Large Water Oak Round Wood Slabs
This collection includes thick water oak wood cookies and
cross-cut slabs measuring approximately
3–3.5 feet in diameter, with the largest piece
measuring approximately 4 feet across.
The slabs are approximately 3 inches thick and retain
the natural outline of the tree. Their round and irregular shapes make
them suitable for coffee tables, epoxy projects, accent tables,
rustic tabletops, and other custom woodworking applications.
Every slab has its own grain pattern, growth-ring structure, natural edge,
color variation, cracks, openings, and overall character. No two pieces
in this collection are identical.
Natural Center Openings & Bold Growth Rings
Some slabs in this collection feature natural center hollows or irregular
internal openings. These openings have been cleaned and may be preserved
as rustic design elements or incorporated into custom epoxy work.
The slabs also display pronounced growth rings, dark heartwood tones,
lighter natural areas, bark remnants, irregular edges, and visible checking.
These characteristics vary from piece to piece.
Flame-Treated Surface
The slab surfaces were flame-treated, which is why some areas appear
dark or nearly black. The treatment creates a strong rustic appearance
and makes the natural growth rings and grain contrast more visible.
